The chart below is what can be seen on the 1st of March, at 8:00pm, looking due west, close to the horizon. A collection of Comet Encke at mag 6, the Moon, Mars, Venus and Uranus.
On the other side of the sky, Jupiter will be rising on the 1st of March at 9:30pm. 42 arcsec in diameter and mag -2.4, the start of a not very good season, where it rises to no more than 32Deg up when due south.
